is Shinano Gold, which is native to Japan. It was born in the Nagano Research Centre in 1983 as a cross between a Golden Delicious and a Senshu.

hints of pineapple, pear, lemon zest and honey all bursting through
a fine, compact flesh, exquisitely crisp and juicy
perfect with exotic spices, ginger, curry and chutney or with sweet-and-sour dishes as well as with veined cheeses or hard cheeses (Parmesan)
